Speaker:

Dear friend, as I sit here on my

last day of seeing clients for the

2

:

year, I'm struck by the fact that

I accomplished a lifelong dream.

3

:

I wrote a book.

4

:

It wasn't planned.

5

:

It wasn't commissioned.

6

:

It just had to happen.

7

:

And now, as I navigate the world of

book agents and publishing decisions,

8

:

I'm reminded of why I do what I do.

9

:

Why I show up for you day after day.

10

:

Email after email.

11

:

Time has a way of slipping

through our fingers, doesn't it?

12

:

It's been a few months since my last

email, or podcast, and as we stand

13

:

on the threshold of a new year, I

wanted to take a moment to reconnect,

14

:

reflect, and express my gratitude.

15

:

You're likely winding down for

the year, or ramping up if you're

16

:

in the thick of the holiday rush.

17

:

Either way, you've put in the work.

18

:

You've weathered the highs and lows.

19

:

And through it all, I hope I've been

a steady voice of encouragement.

20

:

A spark of inspiration, and a catalyst

for growth in wisdom, hope, and courage.

21

:

Why do I keep showing up?

22

:

Because I've been where you are.

23

:

I know the weight of difficulties.

24

:

The shadow of despair.

25

:

The exhaustion of burnout.

26

:

The weight of shame.

27

:

I understand the unique challenges

we face on the path to flourishing.

28

:

The unsolicited advice from

family over the holidays.

29

:

The betrayal from someone

you trusted implicitly.

30

:

The terror of giving words

to something you've promised

31

:

yourself you'd never tell anyone.

32

:

The friends who demand grace

but struggle to give it.

33

:

The trusted confidant who speaks

ill of you behind your back.

34

:

These experiences resonate with

us because we've lived them.

35

:

They're not right, and

they're certainly not easy.

36

:

But you've refused to let them define you.

37

:

And for that, I want to say thank you.

38

:

Thank you for your continued

trust and engagement.

39

:

Thank you for persevering, for

growing, for showing up, not just

40

:

for others, but for yourself.

41

:

As we close out 2024, let me share

a few highlights from my year.

42

:

I've written and recorded

28 words of wisdom.

43

:

And sent them as emails or podcast

episodes, each a small labor of love.

44

:

I've completed 876 client sessions,

totaling 71, 270 minutes of focused care.

45

:

I helped launch an incredible and

now thriving counseling center

46

:

as a part time clinical director.

47

:

I've established my own team at The

Flourishing Way, specializing in

48

:

helping couples overcome selfish

sexual behavior and betrayal.

49

:

I wrote my first book.

50

:

It's on overcoming selfish sexual desire.

51

:

Hopefully more on that journey soon.

52

:

I've sought to show up consistently,

even when it felt like no one was

53

:

listening, even when hope seemed distant.

54

:

I've mentored a few household names,

and plenty of names you will never know.

55

:

Some relationships were

fleeting, others enduring.

56

:

Some will rewrite history because of the

growth and healing they have experienced.

57

:

As we stand on the cusp of 2025, I

want you to remember the simple truths.

58

:

You'll experience both

triumphs and setbacks.

59

:

You'll encounter both inspiring

and challenging relationships.

60

:

Your moods will fluctuate.

61

:

But here's what truly matters.

62

:

Do you have the passion to keep growing?

63

:

Your best days are ahead of

you, if you dare to believe.

64

:

Silence the noise, the criticism, and

the doubts, both internal and external.

65

:

As you reflect over the next

two weeks, ask yourself, do I

66

:

have the courage to level up and

lean in during the coming year?

67

:

I have big plans for 2025 and I'm

excited to share them with you

68

:

soon, but for now I wish you a

blessed and restful holiday season.

69

:

May it be a time of rejuvenation and

clarity as you prepare for the year ahead.

70

:

Here's to another year of

growth, Wisdom and flourishing.

71

:

See you in 2025.

72

:

Yours in the fight for wisdom, Josh.

73

:

P.

74

:

S.

75

:

Stay tuned for updates on my

book journey and exciting new

76

:

initiatives coming your way.
